The Housing Guide

There are two types of housing that characters may choose from (or, alternatively, they may choose not to have a house). Please read this completely before applying, because different cities have different housing options. You cannot change the city you are a citizen of, so be sure to read this fully and ask questions if you have them before it's too late.

The first type is a sub-board for a house. This is recommended if you think you will have several guests over time, or if you will be sharing the house with other people. This way, with an entire sub-board for a house, everyone who lives there can post as many topics as they want to with as many people as they want to, and they will all remain organized in one place. If you want a thread house, but you want to be a citizen of a city that has sub-board housing, you are more than welcome to make a thread house in the general board for that city. (Links below.)

The second type of housing is just a simple thread. This option is designed for people who do not think that they will be posting as actively in their house, and who will not have alot of people living with them (only because topics get all mixed up with other people's topics, and it gets confusing to tell who is living with who). If you want a thread house, you can post as many topics as you want to in the board where thread houses for your city are located. The only difference between this and a sub-board house is that sub-board houses group all of you and your roommates' posts together instead of having them mixed with everyone else's posts as well.

So, which places have which type of housing?

Orange County has thread housing in its estates.

Beverly Hills has thread housing in its residence board, and also in its dorms if you are a student of the University (student forms must be accepted prior to making a dorm there).

Los Angeles has thread housing in its apartments.

Hollywood has thread housing in its residence housing board.

Laguna Beach is currently the only city to have sub-board housing, which will be sub-boards from its ocean front homes board. If you would like a thread home, or you would like to have a temporary rental home in Laguna Beach, please post it directly in the board that the link will take you to. Post here to request a sub-board house after you have been approved as a citizen of Laguna Beach.

*San Diego has thread-housing in its hotel.

*Anaheim has thread-housing in its resort.

*Denotes that you cannot be a permanent resident of that city, so thread-housing is only available for temporary visitors.

If you would like to visit somewhere for a temporary amount of time, you can make a thread-house in that area if you wish. You MUST be an approved citizen of a city before you post a house anywhere. You cannot have a permanent house in a city that you are not a resident of.
